Here's the story of The Fire Playce:
Once upon a time, in the summer of 2012, Lara Craddock went on a vacation to South Dakota. While there, they stopped into a Paint Your Own Pottery Studio. They had the absolute best time and before they knew it, 3 hours had passed. About a week later all of their awesome projects were shipped back to them and it was at that moment that she KNEW that this is what she wanted to bring to her home town of Pueblo. The beautiful city of Pueblo was just bursting with creative folks and outlets and ideas, but nothing quite like this.
In September of 2012, Lara started a Mobile party service where she brought the pottery to homes and events. By June of 2013 she had a store front that she ran with her "pottery guru" sister-in-law Julie Hendrickson.
In the summer of 2013, Kari Bills came in to paint a plate. By November, Kari was working side by side with Lara and the legacy had begun.
Lara moved to Taos and started another Fire Playce, but realized she needed to be back in her home town. She sold the studio , moved back to Pueblo, married the love of her life Corey and took back ownership of The Fire Playce in Pueblo in January of 2018. The studio moved to its current location on 5th street. We are now celebrating our 12th year in business!
