We offer To Go Boxes! Just come into the studio and pick out your pieces and paints or order everything online and we will prepare it for you and you can pick it up. You can then paint at home or with family and return it to us to be fired. With the exception of any food items (mugs, plates, kitchenware, etc.) you can also paint pottery with acrylic paints and there is no need to return to us. **Please know that we can not fire anything that has been painted with paints that were not purchased at our studio as they will not fire correctly.
Painting~To~Go Basic Instructions
1. Prepare your painting area. Get something to put water in to rinse out your brushes. Make sure everyone has a rag or paper towel to wipe the brushes with. This paint completely cleans up with just water and is non-toxic!
2. Take a second to reflect on your pottery and come up with a plan to turn it into a masterpiece!
3. Choose your colors and think about your design. When you are ready to paint, decide on your base coat. Paint 3 coats of color or 2 coats of white on your piece and let them dry in between. Make sure you cap the paint when not in use so it doesn't dry out. (You can always add a little water on your palette to thin it if you need to)
4. When you are almost done with your project, PLEASE take a minute to sign it! This is your creation! Add your name and the year. (Who knows, you may be famous someday)
5 Rinse out all of the brushes.
6. After all of the pieces have completely dried, pack them gently into your "To Go" box. Make sure your name and phone number are written on the box or bag. Or written on a piece of paper inside the box or bag! This is very important!
7. Return the "To Go" box and studio brushes back to the studio. If you purchased brushes, these are yours to keep.
8. Now the hard part...Give us about 7 days to get the pieces fired and you can pick them up!

If any of your pieces are damaged or broken after it leaves the studio, we are not responsible for said damage. Most hairline cracks in pottery can be painted over and once it is fired, you may not even notice it. If there is a small chip in your piece, take a small piece of sand paper and smooth it out. If damage occurs because of something we did in the studio, you will receive a replacement piece. There are no refunds or returns on unpainted bisque pieces. We will not buy back unpainted pottery. There are no refunds if you don't like the way your piece turned out. We can't guarantee your art. Paints and brushes that you purchased can not be returned to the studio with the exception of our Party Pack. Please follow all directions pertaining to paint. Make sure you get 3 good coats of paint on your piece for best results. Acrylic paint CANNOT be fired and we will not accept any piece that appears to have any other paint than what we use here in the studio.
